Dan Gelvan - Managing Director, Aurum Ventures MKI Ltd.
CorAsssit Chairman of the Board
Dr Gelvan is the Managing Director of Life Sciences, Aurum Ventures MKI Ltd. He is a seasoned life-science executive who before joining Aurum Ventures managed GammaCan International, Inc., a development-stage pharmaceutical company. Previously, Dr Gelvan founded and managed Zetiq Technologies, a drug discovery company specializing in cell-based high-throughput screening for novel anti-cancer drugs. Dr Gelvan founded Zetiq after leaving a senior position in Clal (Israel) Ltd., one of Israel's largest holding conglomerates. Dr Gelvan holds a PhD in Business Economics from RUC in Denmark and he is an experienced lecturer of corporate finance and entrepreneurship. Dr Gelvan is a member of Israel's National Committee for Biotechnology.
Shay Dubi - Vice President, Ofer Hi-Tech Group
Dr. Dubi is a co-founder of CorAssist Ltd and currently serves as Vice President in the healthcare arm of Ofer Hi-Tech, leading investments in healthcare companies. Prior to his position at Ofer Hi-Tech, he worked for over four years as investment manager and EVP at Naiot Venture Accelerator. During his tenure at Naiot, Dr. Dubi led the screening process for life science companies and served as an executive board member in companies within the incubator. To date, Dr. Dubi has co-founded three medical device companies. He received his MD and PhD degrees from the Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University.
Ronit Bendori - General Partner, Evergreen Venture Partners
Dr. Bendori is a general partner at Evergreen Venture Partners, responsible for health care investments of the fund. She serves on the boards of Transpharma Medical, Activiews, NiTi Surgical Solutions Vascure and Procognia. She was the chairperson of Colbar which was acquired in 2006 by J&J. She is a former vice president of Pharmos Ltd, and has held senior positions at InterPharm Ltd (Israel) and Ares-Sereno (Switzerland). Dr. Bendori holds a Ph.D in molecular Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science
Yair Feld - GeneGrafts Ltd
Dr. Feld is a co-founder of CorAssist and currently heads GeneGrafts, a startup company developing a gene therapy approach for the treatment of atrial fibrillation. Dr. Feld holds an MD and PhDs in physiology and biophysics from the Technion.
John Young - Vice President, Argonaut Private Equity
John Young is a Vice President at Argonaut Private Equity, a global private equity fund based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Since joining Argonaut in 2004, Mr. Young has invested in approximately 20 privately-held companies in industries as diverse as industrial manufacturing, telecommunications, real-time operating systems, GPS guidance systems, interactive surveillance, drug delivery, semiconductors, medical equipment, and solar power.
Prior to Argonaut, Mr. Young held senior management positions in the telecommunications and video multimedia industries leading teams in mergers and acquisitions, investments, marketing, operations, and product development.
Mr. Young earned a bachelor’s degree from SMU in Dallas, Texas and an MBA from the University of Tulsa.
Yaron Tal - CorAsssit President & CEO
Yaron Tal brings to CorAsssit more than 19 years of extensive experience in general management, investments and fund raising, market strategy and M&A's mainly in the field of medical devices and clean tech.
Prior to CorAssist , Mr. Tal served as President and CEO of TopSpin Medical Inc. and prior to that, as President and CEO of Galil Medical Ltd. Mr. Tal also served as CFO and Acting Manager of DEP Technology Holding Ltd, the investment arm of Elron Electronic Industries Ltd and Discount Investments Corporation Ltd.
Mr. Tal began his professional career in the offices of Prof Itzhak Swary & Co Financial Consulting, and has since accumulated significant experience in company valuation and M&A’s.
Mr. Tal holds an MBA from Ben Gurion University, a BA in Economics and Accounting from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and an Israeli CPA license.
